I found this article very interesting in light of last Sunday's sermon on Holiness. It is incredible that God uses marriage to show himself. Just think, He refines us by allowing us to love someone more than ourselves.... to serve someone else... to think of them, instead of ourselves. What a beautiful picture. Whenever a couple truly manifest themselves as ONE... when the wife honors and respects her husband and the husband loves his wife as Christ loves the church... a beautiful picture, indeed. Marriage.... The Church.... an opportunity for the pursuit of Holiness.
